The SEP -1244 MOCVD particle filter uses a media-dense cartridge that offers 60% more filter media than other leading filter manufacturers. This increased media content can lengthen the useful lifetime of the filter, thus leading to longer periods between filter changes. The filter is suitable for use with a ten inch filter housing and is designed with a high number of pleats and larger media width to provide an overall surface area of 420 square inches. Many regular filters offer only 264 square inches. By increasing the diameter of the cartridge and the distance between the media and the inner sleeve, the risk of clogging by large particles is reduced. Replacement of the filter cartridge is simplified by the use of a gasket to seal the neck of the filter unit – thus eliminating the need to secure an O ring in place.
